Brezovan signs Robins deal

Swindon have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.

Swindon have completed the permanent signing of Peter Brezovan on a two-year deal.

The Slovakian goalkeeper joined Swindon on a season-long loan from FC Brno last summer.

He made a superb start to his Robins career as he saved two penalties against Hartlepool on the opening day of the season, but he then broke his arm in October.

Brezovan has not yet played under Paul Sturrock after being brought to The County Ground by former manager Dennis Wise.

However, Sturrock has exercised a clause in Brezovan's contract that allowed Swindon to have first refusal on his full-time signature.

Brezovan told the club's official website: "I have enjoyed my time at Swindon so far and am pleased to have signed a two-year contract.

"The fans have been good to me ever since I made my debut at Hartlepool which was a great day.

"I have been watching the games since my injury and hope we can start next season in League One."
