Sissoko joins Magpies

Notts County have signed Malian midfielder Noe Sissoko on a free transfer.

Notts County have signed Malian midfielder Noe Sissoko on a free transfer for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old arrives at Meadow Lane after an unsuccessful trial at League One high-flyers Swansea City back in late September.

Sissoko's last club was French Ligue 2 side Creteil and is a versatile player, as he can play in defence as well as in the centre of midfield.

The young African was delighted to have secured a club for the rest of the season in The Magpies.

"I am looking forward to the challenge in England and helping Notts County push for the play-offs," Sissoko told the club's official website.

"I want to prove myself now to the manager and to the club.

"I am fully committed to Notts County and can't wait to get started."

As Sissoko arrives, County striker Andy White has left the East Midlands side for a month-long loan spell at Nationwide Conference club Kidderminster Harriers.
