Mariners agree Kabba deal

GRIMSBY TOWN have sealed a deal to keep Steve Kabba at the club for the rest of the season, and are now hoping that the player agrees to the move.

The Crystal Palace striker has been a huge hit at Blundell Park since his loan switch from Selhurst Park, but The Mariners were concerned that his form may prompt The Eagles to want him to return to London.

After nearing the end of his initial three-month spell, he has now been asked to stay by Grimsby, and is mulling over the offer to remain at the club.

He has bagged three goals for Grimsby since his move and boss Paul Groves is hoping that he will decided to remain with them for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Jamie Pollock is hoping to return to fitness in an attempt to secure a permanent contract with Groves's side.

"I am feeling pretty good now," said Pollock.

"I was a bit disappointed with myself on Tuesday. Both teams were very young and what I need is to be playing in the league."
