Bhoys keen on Serbian star

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has confirmed his interest in Stuttgart's Danijel Ljuboja.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has confirmed his interest in Vfb Stuttgart striker Danijel Ljuboja.

The Bhoys have looked well short of the form that took them to the SPL title last term and Strachan is actively seeking new recruits.

Danish destroyer Thomas Gravesen has crossed his radar, as has Wolves' Lee Naylor, and Serbia forward Ljuboja is also on his wish list.

The striker only made a permanent move to Stuttgart in May, but he would appear to be surplus to requirements following a fallout with the club's paymasters.

He has been linked with a move to Bolton, who could well firm up their interest after being snubbed by Diego Tristan, but The Bhoys could well rival The Trotters for his signature.

"He is one of the players we are interested in," Strachan told Celtic's official website.

"If somebody has stated we are interested then I can't tell you porkies and say we are not interested."
