Celtic are reportedly interested in the services of the 29-year-old Italian star but could have to offer £3million for his signature.
Palermo had been rumoured to have already offered £2million plus a player for Delvecchio, which the club have denied.
A Sampdoria source told Skysports.com: "We are discussing Delvecchio's situation at the moment but we have received no official offers from either Celtic or Palermo.
"We are expecting to receive some official offers in the next few days and his future will be decided then."
Meanwhile, Celtic are also reportedly set to talk with Milan winger Massimo Donati and his agent this week.
