Prso targets final flourish

Dado Prso has confirmed that this season will be his last at Rangers.

Dado Prso has confirmed that this season will be his last at Rangers.

The Croatian has been troubled by knee problems for some time and is planning to end his playing career at the end of the current campaign.

He believes the perfect send-off would be to play in the Uefa Cup final at Hampden Park in May, and is confident that Rangers can progress that far.

Paul Le Guen's side secured their place in the knockout stages of the competition this week, and Prso believes the prospect of a European final in Glasgow should spur Rangers on.

"I want to take it slowly, one step at a time," Prso told the Sunday Mail.

"But I admit we are thinking about making the final at Hampden Park.

"It is important to keep our feet on the ground but we have thought about it.

"This will be my last year at Rangers so it is especially pleasing for me.

"It is great that we managed to reach the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League last season, but why shouldn't we look forward to achieving more than last year?

"We are unbeaten in the Uefa Cup so we can have confidence in the next stage."
