Ex-Rangers star accuses club

Jose Karl Pierre-Fanfan has launched a withering attack on his former club.

Jose Karl Pierre-Fanfan has launched a withering attack on his former club Rangers, claiming Paul Le Guen's team do not have the stomach for their SPL fight.

Pierre-Fanfan claims his former team-mates have not shown sufficient fighting spirit in their bid to rein in runaway leaders Celtic.

Pierre-Fanfan, who is still without a club following his Ibrox release in August, was also critical of Le Guen's approach at Ibrox and believes the Frenchman's demands on his players are unrealistic.

"Le Guen wants to create the beautiful game, but you have to have the right players to be able to do that," Fanfan told But!

"You also need 11 players who are keen to compete and I'm not so sure that is always the case at Rangers.

"Without it, you cannot beat teams who will fight for their lives every week."

Goalkeeper Lionel Letizi is more optimistic and believes Le Guen's team are on the verge of turning the corner in the league.

"Our start has been difficult but we have always competed. Now Paul is getting more and more from the players," said Letizi.

"I am convinced it will pay off. Everyone at the club is enthusiastic about this project.

"In the long term it will help Rangers to shine."

Meanwhile, defender Julien Rodriguez admits he is still weighing up his future.

"The coach has bought in a lot of players in my position, so we will see," said Rodriguez.

"But I came here to play and if that is not the case I may be forced to leave."
