Lens striker Daniel Cousin is 'excited' by the prospect of a move to Rangers.Cousin is being lined up to join the SPL giants after previously admitting he is desperate to quit his current club after becoming a target for angry fans.
He has been linked with Bolton Wanderers, Recreativo and Valladolid, having expressed an interest in moving to England or Spain.
But Cousin is set for a switch to Scottish football after the experienced forward revealed he is waiting for Rangers to agree a fee with Lens.
"I am really excited about this opportunity and all I want to do is get to Scotland and sign for Rangers," Cousin told the Daily Record.
"I am ready to go right now, but first the clubs must reach an agreement.
"I hope this can be done very soon and maybe in the next two days I can fly to Glasgow.
"It's so exciting for me because they are such a big club and I will have the chance to win trophies and play in the Champions League.
"I know there are already some French players in the team - guys such as Jean-Claude Darcheville and Brahim Hemdani - and I would like to join them there.
"I feel my style of play would be really suited to Scottish football. If I didn't think I could be a success with Rangers, I would not be so excited about joining them."
Meanwhile, reports in France claim Lens could move for Manchester City flop Georgios Samaras as a replacement for Cousin.
