McNAUGHTON SCOOPS PLAYER AWARD

ABERDEEN starlet Kevin McNaughton has picked up the Bank of Scotland Young Player of the Month for November.

The 19-year-old full-back has been in fine form for The Dons in recent weeks and his performances have attracted a great deal of interest from a number of clubs.

Middlesbrough and Liverpool have been linked with the youngster who has been tipped for a big future in the game.

"Aberdeen's young players have been getting consistently better and this has been reflected in an excellent start to the season for them," said a Scottish Football Writers Association spokesman.

"Kevin McNaughton has been one of those players who has now become a key and regular member of the team with a number of excellent performances."
