Jimmy Calderwood has hinted Craig Brewster could win a new deal at Aberdeen.
Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood has hinted Craig Brewster could win a new deal at Pittodrie.
The veteran striker's current contract expires in the summer after he signed a short-term deal when arriving at the club in December.
Brewster, who is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder, has impressed since arriving at Aberdeen.
Calderwood is now considering offering the former Dundee United player/manager an extension to his contract.
"Craig might be 40 but he's certainly not finished yet and was very unlucky with the injury," said Calderwood.
"I think he has got another season left in him but probably couldn't play in every single match.
"It's up to him because he'll know exactly how he is feeling.
"I think he surprised a few people when he came on for us against Hibs on his Aberdeen debut earlier this year.
"You can't question his ability because he's a class act.
"I haven't ruled out giving him another contract. It's something that could happen although I'll need to see what the finances allow us to do."
