Valdas Ivanauskas has confirmed that Hearts are in negotiations with a number of clubs regarding potential transfers for some key figures at Tynecastle.Julien Brellier, Craig Gordon, Michal Pospisil, Paul Hartley and Robbie Neilson have all been the subject of interest from unnamed clubs during January and the Edinburgh side are now pondering their next move.
Fulham have failed with a bid for Scottish international goalkeeper Gordon, but Ivanauskas has admitted that departures are possible before the transfer window closes.
"We have been approached during the transfer window by a number of clubs and agents for some of our players," Ivanauskas told the club's official website.
"Julien Brellier, Craig Gordon, Michal Pospisil, Paul Hartley and Robbie Neilson are all attracting interest.
"We are now in negotiations with some of these clubs, but any offer must be proper and in accordance with the true value of the player.
"We expect that there will be further interest in these players from clubs between now and the end of the transfer window, given that we are talking about some of the best players in this country."
One player who looks likely to stay at Tynecastle is Gordon, as Ivanauskas confirmed that Fulham were unable to match Vladimir Romanov's valuation of the player - believed to be around £10million.
"It is very important. The offer may have been concrete, but I can say that I am very happy," Ivanauskas added.
"It is a beautiful price, but not for Craig. I know my price for Craig."
The Hearts head coach has also explained that the club have not yet completed deals for Gogita Gogua and Laryea Kingston, despite reports that the duo had joined subject to the awarding of work permits.
Hearts still need to iron out existing problems with the two players' previous clubs before the pair can begin playing in Scotland.
