Colgan fears for international place

Hibernian goalkeeper Nick Colgan wants his future sorted out as he does not want to lose his spot in the Republic of Ireland set-up.

Colgan is back at Hibernian after his loan deal at Stockport expired at the end of December, but has failed to break back into Bobby Williamson's first team plans.

Daniel Andersson is current number one at Easter Road with Morten Hyldegaard in reserve leaving Colgan on the periphery.

Colgan is keen to have his future resolved one way or the other to safeguard his international place with just two weeks left of the transfer window.

"I waited a long time for the chance to play for my country and now that I have a foot in the door I want to stay in the frame for selection," said Colgan.

"To do so I need to be playing on a regular basis with my club, and that makes it all the more important to sort out my situation here."
