Loovens considering Falkirk

Glenn Loovens has confirmed his interest in making a loan move to Falkirk.

Feyenoord defender Glenn Loovens has confirmed his interest in making a loan move to Falkirk.

The 21-year-old has been made available for loan by the Rotterdam club and he has attracted interest from England, Scotland and the Netherlands.

Loovens is keen to kick-start his career and a switch to The Bairns clearly appeals to the young stopper.

"I am interested in joining Falkirk," he told the Daily Record. "I have to play and that's difficult for me at Feyenoord right now.

"I have always wanted to try playing in England or Scotland and I know if I do well at a club such as Falkirk, there is always the chance I will go even higher."

Loovens has suggested he will make a decision on his future in the next few days.

"I am on holiday but tomorrow I go back and that's when I will meet my agent," he added.

"There is some interest from England, but I'm not sure of the details.

"I'll ask my agent to give me all my options and we will make a decision after that."

Stoke have been put forward as likely rival bidders and they now have a Dutch manager at the helm following the appointment of Johan Boskamp as the successor to Tony Pulis.
