Nee's injury boost

LYON striker Frederic Nee has received a timely boost on the injury front after learning he has not ruptured his knee ligaments again.

Nee is currently on the comeback trail after being sidelined since March with a knee injury.

But in a training session on Tuesday, Nee feared he had damaged the ligaments again when he heard a loud crack.

An initial examination, though, has revealed he has merely sprained his knee which has lifted the former Bastia marksman's morale.

Nee had been pencilled in for an October return to the first team but this setback will delay his comeback for a few more weeks.

However, it is still more positive news than if he had ruptured the ligaments again as he would have been sidelined for several months.
