Balmont looks to Lyon exit

Toulouse's on-loan midfielder Florent Balmont is being courted by Sochaux and Auxerre as he fears his return to Lyon.

Balmont is spending the campaign at Toulouse after failing to make the breakthrough with reigning champions Lyon.

He is due to return to Stade Gerland in the summer but is not relishing going back due to Lyon's interest in Sochaux schemer Benoit Pedretti.

The 24-year-old admits he is hurt by Lyon's desire to bring in Pedretti and feels he will have to leave the club again next season.

"When I hear Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas (pictured) say he wants Benoit Pedretti, it hurts me," Balmont told France Football.

"I am sad and bitter. If he comes to Lyon, I can't see how I could play. And I want to play!

"I was really mad about l'OL but I must face reality. I will probably have to go and play somewhere else.

"Here at Toulouse, I have enjoyed a great season. I am happy to have contacts. I would like to stay in France.

"I am much attracted by Sochaux. The club is interested in me and so I am full of joy.

"I also appreciate Auxerre and they asked for information. Toulouse also want to keep me."
