Lyon comeback stuns Lille

Sebastien Squillaci scored a dramatic late winner as Lyon came from behind to win 2-1 at Lille.

The Ligue 1 champions' sluggish start to 2007 looked set to continue when they trailed to a Johan Audel goal.

But Fred equalised on 82 minutes and Squillaci pounced two minutes from time to send Gerard Houllier's side 14 points clear at the summit.

Lille, who face Manchester United in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday, looked bright and hit the bar just before half-time through Yohan Cabaye.

The hosts only had to wait five minutes into the second half to take the lead when Audel took advantage of lax defending from Lyon to score.

With Lyon struggling to create chances, an equaliser arrived from nowhere eight minutes from the finish when Fred fired in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the area.

And more drama was to come in the 88th minute when Squillaci was in the right place to convert Jeremy Toulalan's cross.
