Mavuba unhappy with lot

Rio Mavuba will assess his Bordeaux future at the end of the season.

Rio Mavuba will assess his Bordeaux future at the end of the season after expressing his dissatisfaction at being dropped.

The midfielder has been consigned to the substitutes' bench for the last three games after previously being a fixture in the starting line-up.

Though Mavuba is expected to be restored to the team for this weekend's game with Ajaccio, he is not entirely happy with his situation.

While he must abide by coach Ricardo's decisions, the France Under-21 captain will be seeking clarification about his future in the summer, if the situation has not changed.

"I can't be satisfied with the situation," Mavuba told L'Equipe. "I want to play.

"It is the coach's decision and I completely respect it. I am going to work seriously to play more often.

"I had a talk with the coach. I don't have to think about it, try to understand or accept it.

"I am disappointed, but I don't want to set my face against anyone. I am always questioning myself and I work to convince the coach again.

"Bordeaux is my club. But I have to know what the club wants to do, if they rely on me or not.

"Turnover is not a problem, it is logical. But if I see people don't really rely on me in the future, I will think about."
