Magpies linked with Milanese men

NEWCASTLE are reported to be ready to raid Italy for new signings with Milan wing back Serginho and Internazionale winger Sergio Conceicao coming under Sir Bobby Robson's gaze.

Robson is actively looking at bringing in new faces to bolster his squad for the new season.

Reports in Italy suggest that Robson is prepared to offer French ace Laurent Robert in any deal for either of the pair.

The Magpies boss is determined to improve on his side's third place Premiership finish last term and make a serious challenge in the Champions League.

Serginho has been linked with a possible move to Inter, but Milan insist they have no plans to sell the Brazilian international as they look to keep their squad intact.

Portuguese winger Conceicao is attracting the interest of Porto and a number of other clubs after dropping down the pecking order at Inter.

With Newcastle having recently signed Lee Bowyer and Darren Ambrose they have plenty of options in midfield which could mean a new midfielder being down their list of options.

Inter have been linked with Robert in the past, but the former PSG man has stated his desire to stay at St James' Park, while Conceicao is not thought to be keen on a move away from the Giuseppe Meazza.
