An agreement over a fee for the 23-year-old was finally thrashed out after a meeting between Valencia sporting director, Jesus Pitarch and Rennes president, Emmanuel Cueff and director Pierre Dreossi.
The Che will now pay a sum of é¼1 million upfront for the full-back, and have presented bank guarantees for the remainder of the fee, a further é¼5 million.
The player will move to Spain immediately, and could be thrown straight into Rafa Benitez's first-team, as fellow full-back Curro Torres is currently out injured for around a month.
