Kallstrom over injury

Rennes midfielder Kim Kallstrom is confident he has his stomach injury under control.

Rennes midfielder Kim Kallstrom is confident he has his stomach injury under control.

The Sweden international has been suffering from the complaint since the start of the season and missed the second game against Auxerre.

He has also been substituted in Rennes' remaining three fixtures in Ligue 1, as he seeks to ensure he retains his fitness.

Kallstrom feels he is now over his stomach problem, but concedes he was seriously struggling for much of last month.

"I still don't know really," Kallstrom told Sportbladet. "I got sick about a week before the league opener.

"I had a fever and felt bad generally. I slept for like 22 hours a day and was completely knocked out.

"Then, I got better and played the league opener versus PSG. But the night afterwards, I got a fever again and had to go to the hospital.

"I have got medicine and now there are no problems."
