Celtic have stepped up their interest in Paris Saint Germain full-back Bernard Mendy.
Celtic have stepped up their interest in Paris Saint Germain full-back Bernard Mendy, according to reports in France.The former Bolton player has been linked with a move back to Britain, and last week confirmed that he would readily accept a move to Celtic.
Celtic scouts are understood to have travelled to London over the weekend to watch Mendy in action in the Emirates Cup.
The Scottish champions could now be poised to make a bid for Mendy before the transfer window closes.
Meanwhile, another PSG defender, Boukary Drame, appears to be on the verge of a move to Sochaux.
The Senegal international was linked with Nice but is now expected to put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at Sochaux after the two clubs agreed a ,é¼1.2million (£800,000) deal.
