Changes afoot at Nice

Frederic Antonetti seems certain to take over at Nice next season.

Frederic Antonetti seems certain to take over at Nice next season and Les Aiglons are already being linked with some of his former charges.

The former Bastia and St Etienne coach could use his contacts to pursue Bastia keeper Nicolas Penneteau (pictured) and midfielder Djibril Sidibe plus St Etienne's Nicolas Marin.

Although any appointment has not been officially confirmed, the Corsican boss is primed to become the long-term replacement for Gernot Rohr, who was sacked a few days ago.

Reserve team coach Gerard Buscher has taken over the reins and is bidding to keep the Cote d'Azur outfit in Ligue 1.

However, Buscher is not expected to be the permanent replacement for Rohr.
