Cisse to stay at PSG

Edouard Cisse will spend next season at Paris Saint Germain after a productive meeting with coach Vahid Halilhodzic.

The former West Ham midfielder enjoyed an excellent campaign last term whilst on loan at Monaco but their coach Didier Deschamps declined to make the deal permanent this summer.

It had been expected that the industrious anchor man would move to the Principality outfit, with several other English clubs also reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

However, Cisse has now told L'Equipe that he is content to spend next season at Parc des Princes.

He said: ''My future is a little clearer since Saturday.

''I remain at Paris except if the club receive a ‚é¼4 or ‚é¼5 million offer.

''But in my mind I am a Parisian for next season. I am under contract until 2006 to a club who has changed in a positive way - with a sane group.''
