After their historic victory over Milan on Sunday, Livorno are working hard to strengthen their squad in a bid for survival. The club have signed Czech midfielder Mario Licka from Banik Ostrava after the player completed a trial period, and are looking to add compatriot Jaroslav Plasil to the squad.
Plasil is currently playing for French side Monaco, although is believed to be attracted to a move to Italy.
The Tuscan team have also made progress in their attempts to bring Brazilian forward Paulinho to Serie A from Juventude.
After initial problems with negotiations it appears that the two clubs have agreed a six month loan deal with an option for Livorno to sign the player for next season.
