Livorno look to build

After their victory over Milan, Livorno are working hard to strengthen their squad.

After their historic victory over Milan on Sunday, Livorno are working hard to strengthen their squad in a bid for survival.

The club have signed Czech midfielder Mario Licka from Banik Ostrava after the player completed a trial period, and are looking to add compatriot Jaroslav Plasil to the squad.

Plasil is currently playing for French side Monaco, although is believed to be attracted to a move to Italy.

The Tuscan team have also made progress in their attempts to bring Brazilian forward Paulinho to Serie A from Juventude.

After initial problems with negotiations it appears that the two clubs have agreed a six month loan deal with an option for Livorno to sign the player for next season.
