Romaric says sorry

Le Mans' Ivory Coast star Ndri Romaric has accepted his four-match ban with good grace.

Le Mans' Ivory Coast star Ndri Romaric has accepted his four-match ban with good grace.

The club meted out the sanction after Romaric missed a number of training sessions last week and the midfielder has no problem with the ban.

"I want to apologise to all the club for those 15 days of non-commitment," Romaric said.

"I have had personal problems that have disturbed my professional life.

"I didn't want to show a lack respect to the chairman, staff and team-mates.

"I understand the sanction of the club, and will do everything to show a better image of myself."

Le Mans chairman Henri Legarda is hopeful the midfielder will learn from being forced to miss games with Paris Saint Germain, Auxerre, Rennes and Lens.

"The only rule that counts is the respect of the group, so our responsibility was to sanction the player," Legarda told the club's website.

"We hope he will be more mature."
