Cisse no right back

PSG coach Guy Lacombe will no longer play Edouard Cisse at right back.

Paris Saint Germain coach Guy Lacombe has agreed that Edouard Cisse will no longer play as a right back.

The talented midfielder has been used in the back four by Lacombe, but the player then refused to continue in the position.

Bernard Mendy is expected to take over as right back for the weekend clash with Bordeaux.

"I tried to trigger something, because I know he has potential and a future in that position," said Lacombe. "But he prefers to play somewhere else.

"It is a personal choice and I respect his choice."

Meanwhile, defender Sylvain Armand has been named captain while Portugal international Pedro Pauleta is sidelined due to suspension.

"To be the captain of such a club gives me huge pride," he told the club's official website.

"But that won't change my game and I will continue to give maximum effort. It is just personal satisfaction."
