PSG romp to Emirates win

Paris Saint Germain produced an eye-catching performance to beat Valencia 3-0 in the Emirates Cup.

The French side scored twice in the first half through Amara Diane and David N'gog before substitute Peguy Luyindula scored a late third.

Valencia were comprehensively outplayed in the first period, with goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand called into action to push out a swerving shot from Marcelo Gallardo.

On 15 minutes, PSG took the lead when Diane released N'gog before racing into the box to convert his team-mate's pull-back.

Gallardo flashed a free-kick narrowly off target before PSG grabbed a second goal on the half-hour mark.

Diane sprung the offside trap and his cross-shot brushed Hildebrand's fingers before being turned in by N'gog.

Valencia improved marginally after half-time when Fernando Morientes was only denied a clear shooting opportunity through Bernard Mendy's superb tackle.

With five minutes to go, PSG again took advantage of sloppy defending as Luyindula tapped in to an empty net from Loris Arnaud's square pass
