Landreau set for Camp Nou

BARCELONA have agreed a deal to sign Nantes' highly-rated goalkeeper Mickael Landreau in the summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Catalan giants are willing to pay ‚é¼6.2 million (£4 million) to acquire the services of Landreau, who has stated his desire to quit Nantes.

Landreau is one of the most promising goalkeepers in Europe and even at the tender age of 22, he is already Nantes' captain.

However, while Barcelona have set up the deal to lure Landreau to Camp Nou at the end of the season, there is believed to be a clause inserted into the arrangement should they replace coach Carles Rexach in the summer, and the new man at the helm decides he does not require the Frenchman.

Barcelona are also rumoured to have enquired about the possibility of signing Internazionale striker Adriano.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at Serie A strugglers Fiorentina and Barca have asked whether they can take Adriano on a temporary or permanent basis.
