Brother backs Milito move

Real Zaragoza's Diego Milito insists brother Gabriel will be a huge hit at Barcelona.

Real Zaragoza's Diego Milito insists brother Gabriel will be a huge hit at Barcelona.

The Argentine defender has completed his ,é¼17.5million move to the Camp Nou after two years playing alongside Diego at the Romareda.

The 26-year-old, who was part of the Argentine side beaten 3-0 by Brazil in the Copa America final, is due to undergo a medical this week before joining the Barca squad for pre-season training.

"He will add a lot to the team and I would say that even if he was not my brother," Diego explained.

"Gaby does not have anything to prove to anyone.

"He will show Barcelona that he has leadership, is good on his feet and strong in the tackle.

"I do not think that they need another leader because Barca has some great players and are a very strong team with plenty of leaders there already.

"What they do need was a left-sided central defender and Gabriel has everything in that area.

"Playing for Barcelona means fighting for the title, the Champions League and all the other trophies and I have no doubt that Gabriel can help the club achieve success."
