Enrique set for month out

Barcelona have been dealt a fresh blow with the news that Luis Enrique has been ruled out for a month through injury.

The versatile 32-year-old fractured a cheekbone after an accidental clash with team mate Oscar Lopez in a training session on Tuesday.

The former Spanish international is set for further tests on the injury on Wednesday, and could even require surgery on the problem.

Enrique is expected to be sidelined for around a month, and looks likely to miss his side's forthcoming league games against Zaragoza and Athletic Bilbao as well as Copa del Rey games against Levante and the subsequent quarter final should they progress.

The news will come as a further blow for embattled boss Frank Rijkaard who has come under heavy fire from fans following the Catalans' lacklustre 3-0 reverse at Racing Santander last Sunday.
