Injury worry for Sevilla star

Julio Baptista is unsure when he will return to action after picking up an injury.

Sevilla midfielder Julio Baptista admits he is unsure when he will return to action after picking up an injury last weekend.

The Brazil international picked up where he left off last season against Levante on Sunday when he notched his first two goals of the campaign in a 3-0 win.

However, 'The Beast' - as he has been christened by Sevilla fans - also suffered a muscular hyperextension, and will definitely miss this Wednesday's game with Villarreal.

Baptista hopes to be back for next weekend's game with Real Sociedad, but concedes he is unsure of the severity of his problem.

"I still don't know if I will play on Sunday against Real Sociedad," he declared.

"We will have to see if it improves in a week, but the important thing is to have recovered for the UEFA Cup game against Nacional next week.

"It's a kind of muscular fatigue. It's a similar injury to the one I suffered around two years ago after I missed pre-season then."
