REAL SUFFER ROBERTO CARLOS BLOW

REAL MADRID have been hit by the news that Brazilian star Roberto Carlos is out for the next two games at least, having been injured during his country's 2-0 win over Chile.

The result puts Brazil back in the driving seat for the final automatic qualifying place in the South American, with Uruguay only managing a 1-1 draw with Colombia, but Real - who have limited resources at left wing back will have to look elsewhere for the next couple of weeks.

Santiago Solari is perhaps the most obvious choice for Real, who beat Athletic Bilbao at the weekend - but with so many of their squad out as they had been called up on international duty, coach Vicente Del Bosque faces another selection headache.

However, the internationals have given some of Real's youngsters a chance, with Raul Bravo impressing at left back against Bilbao.

Roberto Carlos suffered a knock to his right foot and Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari had to substitute him ten minutes from time, although on the way back to Madrid, the player said: "I got a strong hit on my right foot but now it doesn't hurt too much."
