Gonzalo Higuain insists that his failure to score for Real Madrid is not playing on his mind yet.The Argentinian striker arrived at the Bernabeu at the start of January but is yet to open his account for Los Merengues.
However, the gifted forward is not letting his lack of goals affect his preparation.
"I really want to score a goal but I don't get worried because then it's worse," said Higuain.
"It's going to happen from one moment to another. We create many chances to score and I am sure that once I score then it will happen frequently.
"In the last games that we played we couldn't score as we should have, because we created many chances.
"There are strikers of a great quality in this team that can score at any time. Against Betis we had many chances but we couldn't score."
Higuain saw fellow striker Ronaldo depart for Milan in the January transfer window, and the youngster admits he is disappointed to have missed the chance to learn from the great Brazilian.
"It's a shame that he had to leave because I would have had the chance of learning many things from him," Higuain continued.
"He needs support and I wish him the best. The days that I had been with him I noticed that he is a great person."
Meanwhile, Real hope to have flying right-back Cicinho back in action in March following knee ligament damage sustained last year.
The defender is due to return to Spain within the next 10 days, after recuperating in Brazil, when he will resume training with the ball.
