Unhappy Vicente blasts Valencia

Spain starlet Vicente has put Europe's top clubs on red alert after admitting he feels unhappy and undervalued at Valencia following their latest contract offer to him.

The 22-year-old winger put in a superb display in Spain's opening game of Euro 2004 - a 1-0 win over Russia - further enhancing his already excellent reputation.

The player is currently contracted to Valencia until 2007, but his fine form this past season has led the Spanish champions to try and tie him to a new extended deal.

However, the player's agent Miguel Angel Cermeno has revealed his client is far from happy with Valencia's latest proposal and insists their four-year offer has caused bad blood between the two parties.

"The positions are very far away apart," Cermeno stated. "They have made it difficult for us to accept.

"The negotiations can be extended though. I hope it is not the end because, above all, Vicente wants to stay many more years with Valencia because he is a Valencia fan.

"There is a certain tension now. He (Vicente) feels that he is not valued, and I will tell the club this and that they have to reconsider.

"There is tension but it is caused by Valencia, they have to change their position because you can not have a player that is not sufficiently valued."
