Murcia have captured Mario Regueiro from Valencia on a season-long loan.

The Uruguayan international - who can operate on the left wing or up front - opted to move on after being informed he did not feature in the plans of Che boss Quique Flores for the coming season.

The 29-year-old managed only 14 appearances for the Mestalla outfit last term and will now be hoping for an extended run of first-team action.

At Murcia he will be reunited with coach Lucas Alcaraz who was his manager at Racing Santander in the 2004/05 campaign.

Murcia have also finalised a deal for rangy Eibar striker Inigo Velez.

The 25-year-old managed eight goals in 25 games in La Segunda last season and adds further depth to the new boys' squad.

Murcia have now added five new faces during the close season, Cesar Arzo, Quique de Lucas, Henok Goitom, Regueiro and Velez and are being tipped to move for two more Uruguayans, goalkeeper Fabian Carini and midfielder Pablo Garcia.
