Recreativo recruit four

Recreativo de Huelva added a total of four new faces on transfer deadline day.

Recreativo de Huelva were the busiest club in the Spanish top-flight on transfer deadline day, bringing in no fewer than four new faces.

The Primera new-boys, who opened their season with a 1-1 home draw with Mallorca, worked into the late hours of Thursday night to bolster their squad.

In the end they completed deals for Pablo Amo, Javi Guerrero, Beto and Juanma.

Amo arrives on a season-long loan from Deportivo La Coruna where he has found himself out of favour for the past couple of seasons.

The centre back, 28, spent last term on loan at Valladolid but was frustrated by a series of injuries and will now be hoping to prove his credentials in Spain's top division.

Celta Vigo striker Guerrero also joins on a season-long loan and brings a wealth of top-flight experience.

The well-travelled 29-year-old has had spells with Real Madrid, Albacete, Atletico Madrid, Racing Santander as well as Celta and has a proven scoring record.

Beto, a Portugal international with 33 caps to his name, is another centre back who arrives from Bordeaux, while Juanma is a midfielder who agreed a switch from Levante.
