Racing Santander centre back Juanma looks set to miss the remainder of the season with a ruptured leg muscle.The 28-year-old sustained the injury to his right leg after less than a quarter of an hour of Sunday's impressive 4-1 win at Deportivo La Coruna.
Racing's doctors have since confirmed the extent of Juanma's injury, with the player set to spend the next four weeks on the sidelines.
With five league matches left in the current campaign, it looks unlikely that Juanma will return to Racing's line-up before the season's end.
The news is a blow to the Cantabrian club, as Racing try and avoid being dragged into a relegation dogfight in the final weeks of the Primera Liga campaign.
