One in, one out at Getafe

Getafe have signed David Cortes, while Diego Rivas has joined Real Sociedad.

Getafe have signed David Cortes from Real Mallorca, while Diego Rivas has left Getafe for Real Sociedad.

Cortes has opted to join Getafe, despite being a regular in the Son Moix-based side last season.

The right back had one year left on his contract at Mallorca after signing a five-year deal when he joined the club from Extremadura in 2002.

His arrival takes Getafe's number of summer signings to seven after Javi Casquero joined from Racing, Cosmin Contra and Manu del Moral from Atletico Madrid, Francisco Sousa from Valladolid and Alexis and Nacho from Malaga.

Real Sociedad have snapped up Rivas from Getafe on a five-year deal, as they finalised their summer rebuilding programme.

The 26-year-old midfielder agreed to the move after the San Sebastian-based club met his buy-out clause of ‚é¼3 million.

Rivas spent three seasons at Getafe after joining from Atletico Madrid and was a regular in Bernd Schuster's side last term.

Meanwhile, Sociedad are preparing for a pre-season tour of England where they will play Doncaster Rovers on July 22, Huddersfield Town on July 25, Leicester City on July 28 and West Bromwich Albion on July 30.
