Uefa Cup Group F Round-Up

Espanyol and Zulte Waregem claimed wins in the opening round of Group F games.

Espanyol beat Sparta Prague 2-0 to put themselves on course for qualification from Group F.

Luis Garcia (pictured) opened the scoring from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box by Michal Kadlec (17).

However, the game remained on a knife-edge until Albert Riera netted five minutes from time.

In the group's other game, Austria Vienna were shocked by a Tim Matthys hat-trick as they lost 4-1 to Belgian side Zulte Weregem.

Andreas Lasnik drilled a shot into the top corner after 22 minutes to put Vienna in control, but they could not hold onto their lead.

Matthys grabbed his first on 33 minutes when he shot Nathan D'Haemers' cross into the bottom corner.

The 22-year-old then scored two more goals (56 and 69), before Wouter Van Den Driessche wrapped up the victory for Zulte Waregem in the final minute of the game.
