The Argentine hit-man has struggled to make an impact at both Villarreal and now Betis, and has managed only two goals for 'los verdiblancos' this term since his summer transfer.
Betis currently sit just above the relegation places in 16th place after a disastrous recent run of form, and Palermo believes the pressure the team is playing under is hampering his quest for goals.
"I am a little bit tired about being under so much pressure," stated the former Boca Juniors star.
"Until now I have played for teams that have to play in a way that isn't good for me because they have a bad position in the table.
"I am always judged because I don't have so many chances to score in each match, but that is because of the tactics that the team has to use.
"I am the first person in the world that wants to score many goals for Betis, but I don't have many chances to play a regular way, and when I do it I don't have so many chances to score.
"I think that to have more chances it will be necessary for Betis to get a better position in the table."
Palermo also confirmed that if he did quit Spanish football, his first option would be a return to former club Boca.
"First of all I want to have success at Betis," he said.
"I have heard that some Mexican and Argentine teams want me, but if I decide to go back to Argentina I would do it first of all for Boca."
