Serie A Round-Up

Parma put their off field troubles to one side and recorded a very good 1-0 win over Internazionale at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

With the Parmalat (Parma's parent company) continuing to grab the headlines, Parma will be delighted to have maintained their good form on the field.

The only goal of the game came just before the interval through midfielder Emanuele Filippini (pictured).

It was an error from Inter number one Francesco Toldo which allowed Parma in as he mistimed his run on a ball played through by Marcello Castellini and that allowed Filippini to take it past him and fire into an unguarded net.

The other game of the evening saw Udinese and Chievo play out a goalless draw in Verona.

Both sides had chances to win the game, but in the end they cancelled each other out.

The point means Chievo remain ninth, but Udinese climb one place into seventh thanks to their share of the spoils.
