Mancini's defensive worry

Roberto Mancini has defensive worries ahead of the clash against Atalanta.

Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini has major defensive worries ahead of the club's midweek clash against Atalanta.

Both sides are yet to register their first win of the campaign and now Mancini has question marks over three star defenders.

Sinisa Mihajlovic is a major doubt for the tie due to a muscle strain sustained in training on Sunday.

It is thought the Serbian star could be unavailable for at least three weeks, joining Carlos Gamarra on the sidelines in the process.

Captain Javier Zanetti has just recovered from injury and the clash against Atalanta is likely to come too soon for him to return.

Meanwhile, president Giacinto Facchetti has stated he is not concerned at the club's two-point haul from their opening matches.

"The table doesn't worry us," he said. "I think of the game, the image the team gives and undoubtedly it is a positive one.

"However, there must be the awareness that we must improve on defence and on attack, where we need a little more killer instinct."
