Serie A round-up

Internazionale produced a stunning late comeback to draw 2-2 at home to Juventus.

Internazionale produced a stunning late comeback to preserve their unbeaten Serie A record, courtesy of a 2-2 draw at home to table-toppers Juventus.

Fabio Capello's side looked on course for the win to stay six points clear of Inter's city rivals Milan, but the hosts scored twice in the final 11 minutes to snare a point.

After a tense first half, Juve took the lead on 53 minutes when Pavel Nedved's drive from 25 yards deflected off team-mate Marcelo Zalayeta and into the back of the net.

Juve were further ahead on 65 minutes when Zalayeta was fouled in the penalty area by Francesco Toldo, with the Inter keeper lucky not to be sent off. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's spot kick crept into the corner of the net for 2-0.

But a double substitution worked wonders for Inter, as Alvaro Recoba lofted the ball to Christian Vieri and he angled a drive past Gianluigi Buffon to bring the home side back into the game on 79 minutes.

With five minutes left, Roberto Mancini's troops made it 11 draws in 13 league games when Adriano showed superb technique to emphatically finish Obafemi Martins' cross from the right.

Reigning Serie A champions Milan kept up their pursuit of leaders Juventus with a narrow success at Chievo Verona.

The in-form Hernan Crespo bagged the only goal of the game after 50 minutes to keep Milan on the coat-tails of the table-toppers.

Lazio's frustrating season shows no sign of abating after they slumped to a 3-2 defeat at home to Cagliari.

Goran Pandev's seventh minute goal put Lazio in a strong position but the visitors were level on 34 minutes through Antonio Langella.

Goals in the space of five minutes from Mauro Esposito and the evergreen Gianfranco Zola turned the game in Cagliari's favour, with Lazio offering a reply on 79 minutes through Massimo Oddo's penalty.

Messina continue to sit in a lofty position as they came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at home to fellow promoted side Fiorentina.

Luca Ariatti handed the visitors the lead on 54 minutes but Alessandro Parisi's 69th minute penalty snatched a point for Messina.

Palermo shot up the table as they pocketed their fourth success in Serie A by beating Brescia 2-0 on their travels.

First half goals from Lamberto Zauli and Franco Brienza were enough to give the spoils to the visiting side.

Sampdoria pinched a dramatic late victory at home to Parma as Cesare Bovo's red card in the final minute enabled Francesco Flachi to score the winner from the penalty spot.

Carlos Paredes' 11th minute effort earned Reggina the points at Atalanta, who had Michele Marcolini sent off for a second bookable offence on 77 minutes.

Lecce remain in the hunt for a surprise European berth as they drew 0-0 at Bologna.
