Milan, as expected, have officially confirmed the capture of Jaap Stam.
The Lazio defender's move to the Rossoneri has been one of the worst kept transfer secrets this year and Adriano Galliani admitted the deal was due to be sealed on Monday.
Stam, 31, has signed a two-year contract with the Serie A champions and will bring a touch of steel to Carlo Ancelotti's side.
It is also understood that Milan are pondering a move for Roma defender Jonathan Zebina.
The tall Frenchman would be another useful addition to the squad as Milan already plot the defence of their title next season.
