Delvecchio set for Brescia

Brescia have agreed a deal with Roma for striker Marco Delvecchio.

Brescia have agreed a deal with Roma for striker Marco Delvecchio.

Delvecchio is believed to have turned down a number of clubs, including a number of Premiership outfits, to join The Rondinelle.

Coach Gianni De Biasi confirmed that talks over Delvecchio were ongoing, while also announcing that Cameroonian Pierre Wome - who has recently left Espanyol - had arrived at the club on trial.

"Delvecchio will join Brescia the moment he works out a few details with Roma," the player's agent Gastone Rizzato said.

"We have already agreed terms with Brescia and the two clubs have no problems with the deal, so we just have to wait for the whole legal process to be completed."

De Biasi added: "We'll decide if Wome is the right man for us and as for Delvecchio, talks are progressing."

Meanwhile, Roma are set to allow Luigi Sartor and Gaetano D'Agostino to leave the club.

Sartor is heading to Genoa on loan, while D'Agostino is set to sign a three-year deal with Messina.
