Lazio chief unhappy at ref decision

By Nadia Carminati
Lazio president Ugo Longo has hit out at the official who refereed the Rome club's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Milan.

Longo was annoyed that a Dejan Stankovic goal was disallowed by the linesman, he said: "I am annoyed that the linesman made such a big mistake, especially as it had such a big influence on the match."

The Lazio chief also spoke of the ongoing negotiations with Stankovic over his future at the club.

"He will stay with us until the end of the season for certain. His contract expires in June and then we will see," said Longo

"We made him a proposal and let's hope he accepts it because our coach considers him important for Lazio's game."

The Biancocelesti could risk losing the Serbo-Montenegrin playmaker for nothing in June if he decides not to sign a new contract.
