Sereni: No place like Rome

Lazio keeper Matteo Sereni has stated he is happy in Rome.

Lazio keeper Matteo Sereni has stated he is happy in Rome and is looking to make the most of his chance with Angelo Peruzzi out of action due to injury.

It had been thought Sereni was unhappy with the Biancoceleste, however the former Ipswich man is now set for a run in the side under coach Mimmo Caso.

"I can't ask for anything more in my life, adding that professionally I feel I can give more and be of greater importance to the team.

"I'm really sorry for him (Peruzzi) as he is out due to injury.

"I hope he comes back as soon as possible, but I'll do my best to show I'm a good keeper with this opportunity."
