Lazio may make market moves

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has hinted the club could strengthen their squad again.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has hinted the club could strengthen their squad again during January's transfer window.

The Serie A outfit have been linked with moves for Norway international Steffen Iversen and Adrian Mutu, although the Romanian would not be allowed to play until next season.

After witnessing a 1-1 draw at home to Siena, which leaves Lazio languishing in mid-table, Lotito lamented the team's profligacy.

The stalemate also prompted the Lazio supremo to ponder the possibility of bringing in reinforcements for Domenico Caso's squad in the New Year.

"We could have been in fifth place, but today we have had five chances to score and we missed them," said Lotito.

"Today, we could have won, but this is football.

"Our approach is to continue improving.

"We will see about new arrivals, but a few of the names that have appeared in the papers are only inventions."
