Fiorentina have signed Christian Brocchi on loan from Milan.Brocchi has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Milan side for the last two seasons.
The diminutive midfielder had grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities at Milan and had asked to move.
Brocchi has initially joined on a season-long loan with the option to make it permanent.
The 29-year-old admitted he was looking forward to joining Fiorentina.
"It is an honour for me to be a part of this squad," said Brocchi. "I'm coming to Florence to give my best.
"There are three reasons why I came here.This club is ambitious, they have great support and a super coach (Cesare Prandelli) who I know well."
