Udinese crash out at Levski

Italian outfit Udinese have crashed out of the Uefa Cup at the hands of Levski Sofia.

Italian outfit Udinese have crashed out of the Uefa Cup at the hands of Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.

Levski battled hard to earn a draw in Italy in the first leg and a 2-1 win on home soil on Thursday confirmed their passage into the quarter finals.

There was no sign of what was to follow as Udinese took a 22nd-minute lead through Fernando Tissone who popped up at the far post to convert a wicked free kick from Roberto Baronio.

Levski needed two goals to progress and Daniel Borimirov gave them hope just after the break when drilling home to level the tie.

Levski pressed ahead and Croatian Igor Tomasic headed home 19 minutes from time to send Udinese crashing out of the competition.
